help a girl out here

HELLO THIS IS AN OPEN RP POST FOR SHIKI please help me quench this thirst for shiki tags
POSSIBLE PROMPTS
a. welcome to ahnenerbe
[You're in a cafe. Whether you have no recollection of coming here or simply wandered in by choice, it doesn't really matter. It's certainly quaint, the atmosphere warm and inviting even without that many customers there right now. There's a menu on the table with a wide variety of desserts and coffees, or you could simply take a seat up at the counter. Regardless of where you sit though, the girl behind the counter will call out to you.]
So, what's it gonna be? [In a red leather jacket and kimono, she probably doesn't seem like she's actually working here, but ??? it's not like anyone else is asking, right.]
b. the opposite of a warm welcome
[This is where I just start laughing at meta, I'm sorry. YOU'RE TAKING A WALK DOWN THE STREET, just a regular day in your canon universe because it's peaceful and what do you have to worry about, right!! Sorry that's about to all go down the drain though.
OUT OF NOWHERE, there's a girl swiping at you with a very dangerous, very sharp-looking knife. Her eyes glow unnaturally bright blue and magenta, and it doesn't matter if you haven't even said a word to her, she's glaring daggers at you. Here's hoping you were able to dodge.]
Alright, I've had enough of this shit. Who do I have to kill to wake up this time? You? [LOOK SHE'S REALLY TIRED OF BEING A CAMEO APPEARANCE, PLEASE LET HER GO HOME AND SLEEP.]
c. wildcard me
[IDK MAN WHATEVER YOU WANNA DO JUST LET ME KNOW or i can try to think of something else that works too.]

He's not the smartest person, but he knows his feelings for her are reciprocated even if they have a unique way of showing their feelings. Or rather, Shiki does and Mikiya has no problem casually saying he loves her any time he's asked why he went through all of this.
At least he's over being a wuss (or maybe he was just being a proper gentleman) and entering her place with the key he's had for a bit now instead of ringing the doorbell. And like usual he's brought a magazine and some food and water as well to restock her fridge. His new disabilities don't hinder him at all in his daily life of just wanting to be near Shiki. In fact, he'd rather life just be normal and be treated as he usually would. Which is how he's acted about them since he was hurt.
Anyway, he plops down next to Shiki's bed with his usual magazine and food. Some convenience store sandwiches for the two of them.]
I got something extra for you today.
[Said as he pulls a ring box out of his pocket and holding it out to her like it's not a big deal. The ring inside isn't fancy nor does it look like an engagement ring. It's honestly just a simple band. However, that doesn't mean that he may be a little hopeful it could potentially spark a conversation about their future.
It's also just like him to casually throw something kind of major onto her like this.]

Which means just accepting that this is their new normal, really. She turns her head slightly when he comes in, only fully rolling over in her bed once he takes his seat. Her hand's already fishing through the bag for her sandwich when he casually holds the box out.]
Something extra? [It doesn't really click at first. Something like this has always been so far out of the realm of possibility, she never could've even dreamed about something like this happening. Marriage is about as foreign as it gets for her, and as she turns the box over in her hand, she can't imagine what it might be for. Why would Mikiya get her a box?
And then she opens it, and. Well.]
... What is this? [She knows what it is. There isn't much guesswork when the ring is right there. Still, she needs to hear it from Mikiya himself. There's a part of her that won't believe it otherwise.]

He couldn't allow Shiki to be left all alone.
He never could leave her alone.
Just like now how he comes to her place like it's no big deal, even when he is coming with a proposal.
Leaning against the side of the bed, he tilts his head a bit so he can look up to her. That bewilderment was sort of expected, considering she always questioned his motivations to stay with her, like she couldn't comprehend that such a simple yet complex emotion persuaded him to stay.
Kept him devoted to her for those two years she was in a coma.
It's that same emotion that's driven him to start a conversation and a potential proposal.]
It's an engagement ring. [Said so plainly and matter-of-factly. He even has the audacity to take a bite of his sandwich after that. It's not that he's not nervous or maybe even fears the chance of being rejected, but that he takes these kinds of things in strides. Though after he is done swallowing his bite, he offers her a smile.]

[She repeats it with a dry scoff, but she's not angry. No, it's just so like Mikiya to treat such a monumental and life-changing idea as the most ordinary thing in the world, hardly even worthy any commentary. There'd be something funny in this if she wasn't still so utterly baffled.
Their idyllic, day-to-day life is already something of a marvel to her. It still feels like something she needs to take one day at a time, the future full of possibilities but only that. Possibilities, potential, things that would come to fruition at some later point in time. She's never really thought much about the future for the two of them when it feels like she's just gotten a hold of their present. If it was up to her, she thinks she'd probably be fine with things going on like this forever.]
So you're saying you— You wanna marry me.
[She could almost be put out by how he eats like this is no big deal. Here she is, still moving the box around in her hand, too hesitant to even take the ring out of it, and he keeps eating without a care in the world!!]
no subject
Part of him wants to take the ring out and put it on her, but another part still wants to be patient and allow her to process this. As long as it doesn't end up with her wanting to kill him, they're all good.]
Yes, I want to marry you. [He states it like another fact. He can't imagine a future without Shiki near him, so this was the natural conclusion that he wanted to to do this.
Usually there's a bend on one knee and the magic question 'will you marry me?' but he's not the type to do anything dramatic like that. He knows that's not what their relationship is like even if he's pretty sure they're going to be spending the rest of their lives together.
Still, it is a question he should be asking anyway.]
Will you?
no subject
[She supposes that marriage is the natural course of action for normal people in this situation. For two people who are committed to each other and so absolutely sure that they'll always be together, there's no reason not to get married, is there?
But she's not a normal person, even if she's trying to live a normal life. It's not that she's actually opposed to the idea of marrying him. Even with her question, she already knows that her answer is going to be yes. What she's curious about is the difference between marriage and what they have now though. She doesn't really think they need the formal ceremony and paperwork to declare what they already know to each other, but she doesn't think Mikiya would think that either. In that case, there must be something else to this.
Ultimately, she wants to understand what he thinks about it, what marriage would be to him.]

Well, I still haven’t kept my promise yet of getting a place together.
[That’s part of it. But marriage to him is just natural. It’s not about the paperwork or the ceremony, though he wouldn’t mind those, but actually knowing they’ve both decided to make this decision together instead of complacently living their lives every day like this would be nice, too. ]
After that maybe we can consider starting a family.
[Normal things to him. Normal things that he knows Shiki is allowed to have. So he takes the box from her hand and takes the ring out and offers his hand so she can place her hand in his. All gestures to show that he’s completely serious about this. ]
But ultimately I want to do this because I love you.
[His backup answer to everything that, to him, is just a fact.]

[Jeez Mikiya, give a girl a break!! Her playful question doesn't do anything to hide the flush spreading across her cheeks though. He's as forthright as he always is, and now that she can accept his feelings without (too many) hangups, it's. A little embarrassing, okay? Mostly because of how happy it makes her to hear those words.
Despite all that though, she still gently places her hand in his. Even now, his hand is still the only thing she needs in hers.]
But that's what it is then. Because... because you love me. [How simple an answer. After actually hearing it, she thinks she probably knew it all along.]
no subject
With her hand in his, he slides the ring on her finger as he continues to allow her hand to rest in his palm. It's comfortable like this, and to him it just feels right.]
That's exactly what it is.
[The expression on his face is gentle, but he's clearly happy about how this conversation is going. He can read Shiki well enough to know that she's accepting his proposal in her own personal way. That he doesn't need her to say it explicitly to know what her answer is just based on this reaction.]
So let's start thinking about that, okay? We'll take it all one step at a time.
[You know, the marriage, getting a place together, and starting a family. He's completely serious about all of that.
The things that Shiki thinks she's not allowed to have or aren't normal for her are the things that Mikiya has decided he'll make sure she has if she wants them.]
